Circular drives

There are some lovely drives through the local countryside which makes a good excuse to venture out for a pub lunch, afternoon tea or a brisk walk. One of our favourites outings takes one through Westbourne, right onton Emsworth Common Rd and an immediate left towards Walberton.

The road meanders through the countryside to Compton. After which we turn right to Up Marden and East Marden. At a t-junction one has the option of turning right heading for East Marden, the B2141 and a pub lunch at the Royal Oak. Alternatively turn left for North Marden, the B2141 and afternoon tea at Durleigh Marsh in Rogate.

  1. Lovely countryside. We tried Tea Barn at Durleighmarsh and it was delightful. There is Farm Shop and an Emporium displaying artisan craft and nick nacks from small independent traders. Well worth a good browse.
