[Edit] Thai & Asian Foodmart has closed. But have found Snooki’s Thai Market and sometimes use Thai Spice in Fareham. For restaurants we frequent Saro’s in Portsmouth (good streetfood) and have not got around to trying Na’s Bar & Grill at Kemps Quay Southampton or Agaligo on Hayling.
Yesterdays breakfast. Khao khluk kapi. Homemade Thai food at it’s very best.
My meal of choice at Robinsons food hall in Kanchanaburi. Not to be found on the menu at any of the local Thai restaurants.
But most of the ingredients can be found at the Thai & Asian Foodmart in Fratton. Almost as good as any country village market.
Fresh sweet finger banannas, kaphrao, sataw and green papaya. All at a price. But that is to be expected and if you close your eyes, its painless.
They even import Birdy coffee and the Mogu Mogu fruit juice drinks containing cubes of chewy, jelly-like nata de coco made from flavorful bites of young coconut.
